Video -- Mars Exploration Scenario
Some Highlights:
- Top Technologist, currently designing and developing the next generation of autonomous flying robotic technology for space missions (JPL) and terrestrial applications, e.g., Mars helicopters beyond NASA's Ingenuity • Led the design and development of major critical aspects of the NASA Constellation Program (MSFC, Boeing). Most avionics and flight software used in the NASA's Space Launch System (SLS).
- Led start-up multimedia & telecom technology development, to aprox. 70 engineering staff and a successful acquisition for approx. U.S. 1/3--1/2 Billion (Broadcom) within one year. • Designed secure OS and network at the highest level of trust for NSA program (Harris)
- Youngest IEEE Fellow ("Nobel" prize in engineering) worldwide in history • Co-Developed the most advanced NASA spacecraft to fly to the boundaries of the solar system (JPL) • Designed entire family of Mars spacecraft and missions (SpaceDev, JPL, CNES)
- Led the R&D of the most complex real-time intelligent supercomputer ever built successfully demonstrated during NASA-ESA-DLR STS-55 flight of Spaceshuttle (JSC) with Spacelab aboard. All forms of symbiotic human-machine operation (astronauts/space robots) demonstrated in space from teleoperation to fully autonomous robotic operation achieved by innovative feedback control based on multisensory processing including real-time stereo vision • Developed AI for VLSI tool (KIT) and used it to design ASIC based custom multiprocessors & RTOS (Siemens AG)
- Originating expert of the first ESA‘s Mars mission (ESTEC) • Led DoD classified avionics program (Lockheed, SAIC)
- Designed entire domestic satcom system, operating in space (DLR, Airbus) • Designed domestic multi-functional earth observation satellite system, operating in space (Airbus) • Launched and led 15 yr. (50+ vol.) Elsevier Science A.I./ Machine Learning journal as Editor-in-Chief
- Associated with the faculty of prestigious universities in the U.S. and Europe • California Space Authority representative in Washington, D.C.
